Itinerary

Day 1, Arrive in Vancouver 
Upon arrival into Vancouver, transfer (own cost) to your pre-selected downtown hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. 

Day 2, Vancouver & Capilano Suspension Bridge Tour 
Today, join the Vancouver city tour that traverses through urban cityscapes, seaside parks, and ancient rain forests. Begin with the highlights of downtown, including Canada Place, the Arts and Financial Districts, and Robson Street. Enter the 1,000-acre urban rainforest, Stanley Park where you visit the First Nations Totem Poles. Continue to Vancouver’s scenic North Shore and the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Experience a thrilling “Tree Tops Adventure” and discover seven acres of West Coast rainforest through a maze of suspended footbridges swaying between towering hemlocks, immense red cedars and colossal Douglas firs. More thrills await you at the CliffWalk, which takes you out over the canyon’s edge. Return to downtown Vancouver and get ready to engage all your senses as you step out into Granville Island Market. This market is an artisan haven for all things local and hand-made, including delicious food, coffee, tea, eclectic artwork, and west coast music. Carry on through bustling Chinatown and continue to historic Gastown, the heart of Vancouver 

Day 3, Vancouver
Day at leisure 

Day 4, Vancouver to Whistler 
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to the resort town of Whistler, renowned for outstanding skiing and year-round outdoor activities. Following your check-in and motorcoach transfer from your downtown Vancouver hotel, the Rocky Mountaineer takes you on a breathtaking rail journey through the stunning scenery of the Sea to Sky Corridor. Highlights of the trip include spectacular views of Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains, Brandywine Falls, Mount Garibaldi and the impressive Cheakamus Canyon. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Overnight in Whistler. 

Day 5, Whistler to Quesnel 
Your journey continues eastward to the charming rural town of Quesnel, gateway to the North Cariboo. Enjoy breathtaking and varied scenery, from the river canyons and lush farmland of the Pemberton Valley, through the desert-like conditions of the Fraser Canyon, to rolling hills and vast ranch lands of the Cariboo Plateau. Highlights include the shorelines of Anderson Lake and glacier-fed Seton Lake, sweeping views of the Fraser Canyon, and the crossing of Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railway bridges in the world. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer follows the banks of the Fraser River into Quesnel. Overnight in Quesnel. 

Day 6, Quesnel to Jasper 
Your journey continues Eastward today to the majestic Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park. From Quesnel, the Rocky Mountaineer follows the Fraser River north to the town of Prince George, then travels east through the forests of northern British Columbia, home to plentiful wildlife, including a large population of moose. Entering the Rocky Mountain Trench, you are surrounded by the steeply rising Rocky Mountains to the north and the Cariboo Mountains to the south. Continue climbing past Mount Robson, at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet) the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, through Yellowhead Pass into the province of Alberta. Your rail journey ends today on arrival in Jasper. Overnight in Jasper.

Day 7, Jasper to Banff 
Jasper National Park is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Canadian Rockies’ largest national park. Today, you will enjoy a scenic full-day tour of some of the park’s natural attractions and rugged peaks, and perhaps catch a glimpse of the wildlife that calls this region home. Highlights include lunch and a lake cruise at historic Maligne Lake. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore more of Banff independently. Overnight in Banff.

Note: In the event the lake cruise is not operating, interpretive experiences will be offered on First Nations history, foods and culture. 

Day 8, Banff 
Today, you will have an entire day to spend exploring Banff National Park on your own. Optional activities include soaking in the mineral pools at Upper Hot Springs, enjoying a nature walk on nearby mountain trails, visiting Banff’s historic museums, cruising on Lake Minnewanka or playing a round of golf at the Fairmont Banff Springs. Overnight in Banff. 
 
Day 9, Banff 
A half-day tour takes you into Yoho National Park to view some of its natural wonders. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge spanning the Kicking Horse River. The tour ends in Lake Louise where the remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy this magnificent location before returning to Banff in a motor coach transfer. Overnight in Banff. 
 
Day 10, Banff 
This morning, you are free to explore beautiful Lake Louise on your own. After lunch, a half-day tour takes you into Yoho National Park to view some of its natural wonders. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to Banff. Overnight in Banff.

Please note: While departure from the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise will be approximately 2:00 pm, scheduled checkout time is normally 12:00 pm. Your luggage will be stored upon checkout and you are free to enjoy the amenities of the hotel before the tour departs. 
 
Day 11, Banff 
Today, you will have an entire day to spend exploring Banff National Park on your own. Optional activities include soaking in the mineral pools at Upper Hot Springs, enjoying a nature walk on nearby mountain trails, visiting Banff’s historic museums, cruising on Lake Minnewanka or playing a round of golf at the Fairmont Banff Springs. Overnight in Banff. 
 
Day 12, Banff to Calgary 
Today, you will enjoy a full-day tour concluding in Calgary. Begin the morning with a sightseeing tour of Banff. Among the points of interest are Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. Banff Gondola included. Continue on to Kananaskis for the highlight of today’s adventure, a 12-minute panoramic helicopter tour over the remarkable landscape of the Rockies. Overnight in Calgary. 
 
Day 13, Calgary

Day 14, Calgary
